I heart newly launched toiletries
November 19, 2008
Lately I have been having a ball with toiletries, what with discounted buys from Naturenu, free skincare samples from fr3b and a gift from Mistress Grace which is not available in Singapore. Let’s not even get started on the BB creams (about 8 of them) which I have been sampling.

Manuka Honey bath bubbles - contains Active 16+ manuka honey, protein rich royal jelly, aloe vera and antioxidant Vitamin E formula. I totally love this and use it when I have the time to soak in the tub - it’s a real luxury for the skin and smells heavenly.

Wild Rose hand cream - infused with rosehip oil, active 16+ manuka honey, beewax and oils of macadamia, sweet almonds and jojoba. I absolutely love the fragrance - it doesn’t have the cheap drugstore chemical kind of fragrance but smells like Crabtree and Evelyn when you walk pass the store - elegant and classy. I use the Skin MD shielding lotion after this - the combination is superb.

Wild Rose Shower Gel - infused with active 16+ manuka honey and pure essential oils to hydrate and soften your skin. There is nothing not to like about it. I use this and the cream above and my Bvlgari Rose parfum (given to me by serendipity) to layer the fragrance.

Lux Bordeaux Wine and Wild Rose shower gel (which was a gift by Mistress Grace) - it doesn’t smell too ‘alcoholic’ as the wild rose balances it out nicely. The result is a pleasantly relaxing andf sanguine fragrance.
Next up to try - Q10 face care, Jurlique complete kit and Skin Food (I have read so many raves about this brand)

SM Goh says we have to contribute to the economy so here’s part of my loyal contribution
Discovered this brand Sofft lately. It’s not available here though. The insoles are very well crafted - makes me feel like I am walking in a fluff of cloud.
Soft lambskin leather that molds to the feet.
Another brand I discovered - Gentle Souls by Kenneth Cole. Mary janes with buttery soft insoles!!
I heart Michelle O
November 17, 2008
Looking at the fashion choices that Michelle O (a nod to Jackie O - both ladies have impeccable fashion tastes) had cleverly exhibited throughout her husband’s political campaign, they indicate not only a political shrewd (smart move to go for mass labels and yet look good, while Cindy McCain and Sarah Palin are being criticized for their excesses), but also a certain funkiness that is not the conventional in the typical First Lady’s wardrobe.
Not since the times of Jackie O had another (potential) First Lady drew so much attention and positive feedback for her wardrobe choices. It is a refreshing change form the safe dowdy fashion that had been the wardrobe of the last few First Ladies (Hillary dumpy pantsuit anyone?). I can see another American icon in the making.

The black-and-red Narciso Rodriguez dress, paired with a black cardigan, which drew much criticism. I think it is just screen unfriendly - it photographs and shows up on video like a lava lamp. It does take a gumption of fashion chutzpah to pull off that dress.

Form fitting sheath in a regal purple which is eye catching and elegant. Signature gumball costume pearls

Unconventional take on the jacket ensemble with a detailing on sleeves.
Great colour, cut of the jacket and the pencil skirt. Double strand of pearls is accentuated nicely by the dark blue colour scheme

Beautiful bright hues
